Spring Palette: Butter Yellow, Sky Blue, Raspberry

All this warm weather has me so excited for spring weddings, gone are the deep, dark, cozy colors of winter – the light, airyness of spring is finally here!

Lately I have been loving color palettes that are mostly very soft and a bit washed out, but then have pops of a brighter color for contrast and interest, like this board I put together with a buttery yellow, sky blue and raspberry palette:

I would love to see this wedding in a garden on the water under a (Our Favorite!) Sperry Tent – so gorgeous and ethereal, I can just see butterflies flitting around as every guest just enjoys being at an outside party for the first time this year. Such a breath of fresh air!

Nantucket Wedding

Having lived in “regular” Massachusetts for all of my life, Nantucket has always seemed to be kind of like a magical place where only pretty things happen… and when I look at the photos from Leila and Steve’s wedding, I think I just might be right about that.

Sometimes I see photos from a wedding, and I just wish that I had been able to be there. This is one of those weddings. It’s just so soft, so girly and romantic, and it totally helps that some of Our Favorite Vendors (the ever incredible Claudia Kronenberg Photography and Sperry Tents) helped to make it all happen! The amazing flowers are by Soiree Floral. I am officially obsessed with Lelia’s bouquet.

And, um, PS… how cool would it be to have aerial photos (by Nantucket Aerial) of your wedding??!

Maine Coast Meets City Chic, II

If you’re just joining us, boy are you in for a treat! Just to recap, Linnea & Dave are a New York City couple who planned a rustic elegant wedding on the rocky coast of Portland, Maine. These two really wanted to plan a chic party for their city friends, while introducing them to their favorite parts of Maine. What could illustrate that better than farm tables, ghost chairs, potted herbs and blackboards?! Love.

I am obsessed with the letterpressed invites, made by Bella Figura. The combination of colors and calligraphy style really set the tone for this fun, summer party!

The Sperry Tent was such a perfect setting for this reception (as they always are!). I love this style of event – every detail was a contrast of modern and rustic, New York City and Maine. Gorge!

We are all about Maine weddings today! So much pretty! This next wedding is a feast for the eyes. I absolutely adore when couples fuse a modern sensibilty with rustic touches and Linnea and Dave have done that perfectly. The ceremony, with it’s sweeping ocean views, seersucker suits, white bridesmaid’s dresses and buckets of deep blue hydrangea is wonderfully, gorgeously Maine.

Jessica & Glenn’s Cape Cod Wedding

I adore this wedding.

It was a rainy, rainy day when Jessica and Glenn got married, but that didn’t deter them from having the garden ceremony that they had been so excited for… and it was amazing! The two of them were such a fun, loving couple, and I think Our Favorite Photographer Kelly Lorenz really captured that.

We passed out monogrammed umbrellas. The rain made everything almost magical and very romantic.

The attention to detail in the decor of this wedding was incredible. Jessica is an interior designer, and her mom is an amazing garden designer. Needless to say they LOVED working on the design of the event, and it totally shows! And as always, the Sperry Tent (another one of Our Favorites!) was fabulous.
