My Wedding: Getting Ready

The photos are in!!! There are soooooo many good ones, I have so many to share! Over the next couple weeks, I’ll be doing a series of posts to show off all the fabulous photos from our wonderful photographer and friend, William Tangorra.

To kick things off, let’s start at the beginning! We began the day with hair and makeup at my parent’s home. It was one of my favorite parts of the day (no offense to any other part of the day), it was just so relaxing, and fun to spend girlie time with my friends and family. And… how can you not have fun when having glamour time? Joanne of Joya beauty and Lena of Hair that Moves were both on hand to make sure all of us were looking gorgeous and Will got some great shots around the house…

Fun Wedding at the Boston Harbor Hotel

Happy Monday!!

May was chock-full of amazing weddings for Tangorra Wedding Planning! One of our favorites was Sam and Austin’s wedding at the Boston Harbor Hotel. These two were so much fun! Fun to work with, and even more fun to be with on their wedding day.

Both of them definitely have an eye for style (Sam ownes the fabulous custom menswear company 9tailors), and every detail of the decor was thoughtfully, beautifully designed. BUT, the best part of this wedding was that Sam, Austin and their friends and family just had such a blast! There was so much dancing, and a photobooth with props galore. Their photographer, Eric Laurits, captured it all! Enjoy!

Newburyport Wedding

The Pheonix Room in Newburyport is truly a hidden gem. Tucked away on the second story of some of Newburyport’s most adorable shops in a classic New England building, it is a sweet, sweet spot where some of the most adorable couples we’ve known have had their weddings.

Glenn & April Livermore of Glenn Livermore Photography - another gem of Newburyport – sent us this wedding today and I’m so glad they did… everyone planning a wedding on the North Shore should know about the Pheonix Room (and Glenn and April!!). Enjoy!

Downtown Boston Wedding

Good morning!

I hope everyone had lovely, wedding planning filled weekends. I checked a few little things off my list this weekend, but really didn’t do as much as I should have. Honestly, I kinda wish I could fast forward through these last few weeks before the wedding and that it could just be here already! I just want to wear my fun sparkly shoes (wait til you see them… so fun!).

I just love starting the week off right with an adorable real wedding. This one, sent to us by the ladies at Click Imagery, is just that. Loving the photos of the bride with her puppy!! So wish I could take photos like that with my puppies, but they are NOT white or clean or calm enough to do anything like that. Photos with my puppies would be more like a trash the dress session. Sadness.

Real Boston Wedding: Four Seasons

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had fun weekends. I sure did… I even snuck in some beach time which is historical for an Easter Sunday.

I have the most beautiful wedding to share with you today. Sent to us by Sara, their wonderful coordinator at the Four Seasons, Jessica and Brent’s wedding is just pure class. When you add in the fact that they had some pretty great vendors too, well, that just makes it even better to me!

So pretty, right? I love that this is a formal hotel wedding, but Jessica and Brent made it a little more relaxed and fun later in the evening with their dessert bar. It’s the little things like that that will make your guest have the best time! Vendor list is below!

Newport Wedding Film

Good morning!

I thought we should start the week off right with this pretty, pretty wedding. This is my kind of wedding, soft, pink, a little bit sparkly, and you can tell that the adorable bride just has a great eye for the details. The film, sent to us by Generations Cinemastories, is chock full of gorgeous inspiration… if you heart pink, you’ll heart this wedding!

I know videos are tough at work, but it’s worth it if you can sneak it in!

Gibbet Hill Wedding

I heart a wedding in a barn… always have. Something about the mix of rustic barn wood with the fancyness (yes, it’s a word) of a wedding just makes me happy. That’s why I was so excited to work with Elizabeth and Phil on their wedding at Gibbet Hill this past fall. I was even more excited to work with their photographer, Stacey Kane. Love.

All you DIY brides will love this one too… look closely… no floral centerpieces at this beautiful wedding! Lots and lots of candles were the secret here. The barn looked amazing lit with the soft glow of pillar candles at each table.

If you don’t know Stacey Kane’s work, you must go visit her website. Trust me.

Cambridge Wedding from Boston Wedding Films

Indian Wedding Ceremony in Cambridge

Nancy and Anand’s wedding in Cambridge was an event to behold. The day started with their Indian ceremony under their Mandap in the courtyard at The Charles Hotel in Cambridge. During an hour long cocktail reception after the Indian ceremony, the Mandap was converted into a Chuppah for their second ceremony of the day! They were definitely married. Both ceremonies were beautiful in their own way, and I mean, what could be better for a bride than getting to wear two gorgeous outfits?

Their wonderful photographer, Amanda Ambrose was there to capture every moment, while our Megan from Tangorra Wedding Planning was on hand to make sure BOTH ceremonies went off without a hitch!
